The Week "in-between"

Hello friends, hoping you had a wonderful Christmas-Holiday celebration.  My family and I are thus far.  Not all of the "lil birdies" have come home to visit the "Nest" but two out of the three.  Our son and daughter in law are on their way.  So this is the week inbetween Christmas and New Years.  It is a fun filled week of movie going.....sales shopping......family dinners......friends dropping in and game nights.  I treasure this "in between" week.  Also a special day is always during this week.  December 29th......hubby's and my anniversary.....It's 30 years tommorow.  Wow.  Amazing......I am blessed.  Thank you Lord.

Never underestimate a home made gift for Christmas

Love these red "Joy Christmas" pillows.  What a great homespun gift to give someone this Christmas or for any reason for that matter.  Joy should always be displayed!!
Home made Christmas pillows.  Folks love holiday pillows but you can display them for far longer than the Christmas season.
White Chocolate dipped candy canes.  Very festive, and a beautiful gift.

More trinkets from our tree.

Christmas Time at our Nest.  Getting ready still.  It's been a fun process.  New Nest so it's been fun decorating.  Our first Christmas here.  Making new memories here at the new homestead.....thank you Lord for your many blessings....and blessing us with this home we have here on Ol Cape Cod.  More pics to come.

Blessings,   Karen

I just love ice-skates, these wooden ones were purchased at a Cracker Barrell when getting our Marine son from Parris Island.
Have to have a "nut-cracker"
Love "ribbon-candy" orginally made here in New England
English traditon- find the pickle hidden in the tree.  Who ever found it...it was there's.  It was an amazing treat back then.

MNF can't wait for kickoff ......Go Pats

A simple sample of Cape Cod Christmas Decor.

I must say I do love the "white on white" decor...lots and lots of white...however I also have to say there is something deep inside of me that likes the "ol country" look.  Lots and lots of red and green.  Plenty of plaids, lots of gold.  I even put the old fashioned fat colored lights on our two hedges out front this year .....love it.  Counting the days my youngest comes home Christmas Eve.
One will find "star-fish" adorning garland & wreaths on Cape Cod.
A faithful friend loves to sit on a cozy plaid blanket......
in front of the fireplace.
What we call the "silva-dollaar" of the sea.

Red and green plaid with gold trim....love it.

Some Christmas tree Bling.

Not my tree pics.  Still working on my tree(s).  Surfing the web and saw these.  As the season progresses will spot more Christmas tree bling and post.
Love the fact that Christmas trees can be any size.
Simply gold.
