Some beautiful craigs list goods.

I adore toile, don't you?
Unique pieces make great accent pieces for your home.
 Some sweet French Script furniture.
I love looking on craigs list...not just to see what's for sale, but to get wonderful ideas from other crafty minds.  Don't get me wrong...I do purchase some great "wicked awesome" items from time to time.

Also in my local area, shops will post on craigslist...their most recent items for sale.  I posted them below....they are wonderful pics that inspire me, for new Spring decor ideas for my nest.

My mind is spinning, but have lots of projects to do before these fun little pieces can be created.
Hope you are having a wonderful week.  Happy mid-week to all.
May you nest in peace.......

Oh baby it's cold outside. Kitchen day-dreaming.

Well, hello there.  It is very cold out there today after our snow storm yesterday.  It's less than 20 degrees and in the teens with the wind.

All is good.  Sitting here with my labtop, looking at kitchen sinks.  I want to change out our stainless steel sink.  It's not top priority.....that's why I am dreaming ...what kind do I want?  Just on the "thinking" and "imagining" part of this future project.  Do I want an actual vintage sink......a replica sink.......newer vintage look.....I just don't know ......but I do know this......I like white porcelain......and I want to get it at a good deal.  So I will look on craigslist......older models, on websites....and pray about it.

Love it..............

Let it snow!....Let it snow!....Let it snow!

It's snowing on the Cape!!

Hello there, friends.  Happy Sunday to you!  Here on Cape Cod...it is snowing like crazy.  Not as bad as the Blizzard of last week, but we are having "white out conditions" due to the winds we are experiencing.  Many people just received their power just a few days ago from last weeks storm.  I pray power remains on for all.

I must say I enjoy sitting here with my cup of coffee....watching the snow fall.  It is peaceful....is is so quiet...it is fresh and clean and swirly....a beautiful sight.  It's peaceful...and my mind ponders on God's word.  We are instructed to be still and know He is God.  Be still and hear the still small voice of the Lord.  He will speak to us if we stop....be quiet and listen.....He speaks to our hearts.

Enjoy your Sunday.....enjoy your family......Nest in Peace.

Let it snow!
Just some beautiful pics I found online.

It's The Sunday after Nemo. There is always something to be thankful for. Always!

We had our church services cancelled today...due to Nemo..the Northeastern Blizzard Storm of 2013.  This mornings pictures.
We have some wonderful neighbors we are still fairly new in this neighborhood.  It is our first winter here in our new Nest.  Hubby and neighbor, shoveling the driveway which got some good size snow drifts...and the plow came....too.
A thank you shout out to all the town's workers, & state workers.

Looking outside this morning, and reviewing all that has gone on since Friday....with this storm......how scripture talks about joy will come...in the morning.....this too shall pass.  I am so thankful for God's faithfulness, and His light....and we can have joy in our circumstances and situations...it's a choice...and at times a hard one to decide to make....but I do by reminding myself....there is always something to be thankful for.....always.
My joy comes from the Lord!

Our beast Naydie...takes a peak from the front door.  She is deciding if she will dare to go out with "dad".   She does for a minute..lil big chicken dog. (grin)

Yes my front door is purple...something we will change when the Nest gets slowly revamped.  Look how the snow is sprayed on. We haven't seen anything like this in some time up here in the North.

Here is my hubby shoveling the walkway.  I am inside (another big lil chicken), taking his pic thru the door.  I love how the snow on the front door is like a frame to this pic.
Of course I made my hubby some yummy sugar cookies.

These babies were warm and waiting for him when he retired from shoveling the first shift.  I appreciate all his hard work.

Blessings to you and yours....Nest in Peace....

Well it’s happening……the “Perfect Snow Storm”

Hello out there ………we are here on Cape Cod and boy the winds are fierce right now and going to grow more powerful.  It has been snowing since 10am but now the snow is picking up.

Us New Englanders are a hearty breed………..got the firewood all set, if needed………got the flashlights…………extra blankies…………….(the beast has extra blankies too). and we are hunkered down.

We have checked in with neighbors………….but will do again………….as we endure this storm.  Everyone also has been ordered off the roads by the authorities, all stores and businesses, and schools were closed so ne need to go out.

Shelters have been set up and the homeless have places to go thank you Lord.

I am going to bake cookies now.  (grin)…..558033_431784796897173_117483289_n

The quiet before “The Storm” here in New England.

Hello fellow bloggers.  I can’t believe it is Thursday already.  We up here in the Northeast are batten the hatches down, for a good old fashioned New England winters storm.  Tomorrow is when the storm approaches and will last till Saturday.  What is amazing is how calm and quiet and sunny it is out right now….but it’s “acomin”.

I pray all to be safe and warm…..during this storm.  The Blizzard of “78” just had its 35th anniversary this week..I was in High School at the time. Lol.

A couple of heart pics, since it is February after all.  100_1074100_1084100_1067

A bit of flurries here today on the Cape.

Hello there.  How was your Tuesday?  I woke up to wispy flurries here on the Cape.  It was very peaceful watching those flakes fall.  I did take the time to just sit and watch them fall.  I ran outside after my cup of coffee….and tried to snap a shot but I don’t think I possess the right camera for such pictures.100_1083

Here is just a shot of our brick walkway….showing the light dusting.  Looks like a “lightly floured” walk-way. LOL100_1085

Ok so as I suspected the tiny dancing flurries did not show in this pic.  But they were there falling.

So….…who follows me everywhere…..got some snow flaks on her fur….I could not capture the amazing shapes and designs of these snow flakes….but if you look carefully you can see the “points” on a couple of them.

I was so blessed by this simple little “time out” I took to view the snow with Naydie.  The snow flakes were just stunning…..for a moment then they melted away.

Yes… red is Naydie’s color.  She wears her red scarf very well.

Nest in Peace……………..

A New Blog Name

Hello friends.  I changed my blogs name.  Our new Nest if you will is on Cape Cod……hence “A Cape Cod Nest”  I am figuring out lots of designs for my blog so it’s a work in progress.  I am getting lots of help from my tech bestie.   She has shown much patience with me during my blog  reconstruction.   Bless her heart.

I am hoping this won’t take too long.  New year…new ideas.  I plan on posting my “redo” Nest projects as I attempt each one.  I get so inspired by my fellow bloggers and their “redo” projects.  What a wonderful forum to share ideas and pictures… then on..our personal blogs.

I enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee, my lap800px-American_Robin_nest_and_eggstop,  settle in my cozy chair and surf for beautiful blogs to escape into, I know you do too.

Until next time:  Nest in Peace…………………..Karen
