My new "grandbaby-pup"

This is our new four-legged grandbaby.  His name is Luther.  He is a French Mastif.
Lil'Luther is 4 months.  Yes he will be a big boy when full grown.
Lil'Luther has his own "baby" it's 'baby-Winnie".  He actually sleeps with his baby each night.
When our adult children visit us....they bring their pups.  We are a dog friendly family.  When "human" grandbabies come oh my it will be a wild house-hold.  I will welcome it fully.

God's artistic Hand!

  • Hello there.  Yesterday I was up early to attend a new six week bible-study, held at our church.  Hubby and I have been so busy this past Summer/early Fall buying our home, moving into it, and getting out of boxes.....I feel my spiritual bones are a bit dry.....looking forward to this study!  While driving to the church. I saw God's paintbrush strokes everywhere....so amazing.....I had to keep reminding myself...."Karen keep your eyes on the road".  Awesome brilliant colors screaming thru such a grey day.  Loved it. Such beauty of our New England autumn.  My picture taking is a work in progress.  I am a work in progress.....you are a work in progress.  Blessings   Karen
Just does not matter the sky is grey.
She is lovely in her Fall garden.
One, two three, four on fire beauties.
There is beauty even in the "half-full" trees.

French Country Inspiration. Getting ideas for the new nest

I love the punch of yellow on the cushions, and just adore the roosters. Natural wood and the faux ceiling add a nice cozy feel.
What a lovely, unique kitchen sink.  Shabby & French in my opinion

Nothing says French Country like red and black and again those roosters! To me I have always loved having a red piece of furniture to make a statement.

A lovely shabby find!

This beauty if for sale at a local shop.  I keep looking at it online, and think it would make a wonderful shabby-chic head board for my daughters room, or maybe my room!

Craigs List Beauty!

I have always loved viewing Craigs List.  Those of you who are near my age :) remember the old fashion....Bargan Hunters magazine which came out every Thursday.  So many beautiful vintage beauties, and beautiful vintage beasts to find on Craigs List.  Here's one I found today.........

A beautiful Bakers Butcher Block table .  This "beast" is a "beauty",  Larger than most antique bakers tables.  A good proper cleaning and this beast will be a beauty that Paula Dean would love to have in her kitchen!  (I love Paula Dean's kitchen)!

Sunday in New England

You know....sadly....in most of our life's journey.....as we walk thru our daily lives, prayer is usually the last resort.  We do alot to "fix it" in our own strength, and in our own way.  I'm guilty of this at times we all do it.  Just imagine, if we turn this sign around to say  "Pray first, and wait upon your answer, in faith"....I do belive in this little sign....I feel the "when all else fails"....that's our attempts....so pray first.    Phillipians 4:6 " Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer , and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds thru Christ Jesus."

Blog peeping.

I was blog peeping yesterday.  It was a grey Tuesday here on Cape Cod.  Very typical New England weather for October.  Blog peeping is like leaf peeping.  I was taking my time (with a cup of hot chocolate in hand) viewing all the beautiful blogs out there in "blog land"  I came across a blog site Heaven's Walk and enjoyed all her sign-age in her home.  I too have lots of sayings in my home and just recently thought......am I over-board with the signs in my home?  After seeing Heaven's Walk blog....nope I have not in any way gone too far with the written word which hangs on my walls and doors of our nest.  These signs (like the one above) share a meaningful message and yes looks rather "chic" at the same time.  I believe in blessing those who enter my home with warmth and hospitality......one's thoughts on signs....like above.....uplifts ones soul when reading it, even for a split second.....it does the soul & heart good  Tiny blessings.....they add up. .  I am going to go and read a couple of my signs right now...and wipe the dust off of them too. .while I am there.   I love blog-land.

Someone's clever idea.

Look at these beautiful tables made and designed by a local artist.  These "repurposed-wood" beauties are being sold on craigslist.  Wonderfully crafted wood and metal table structures.  A unique restoration look for any decor style.
