Atlantic Beach, NC Bound

Us "mother-in-laws" are on our way to N.C. to see the newly weds yes.....but to a beach house vacation as well.  This is a trip I believe God has arranged Himself for my friend and her family.  I was asked to come and join in on this trip and feel so blessed to have been asked.  We are on our way tommorow at 4:00 AM when the birds get up and sing their first songs, (of praise to God).

I have brought the camera (cause I always forget), and I know many wonderful memories will be created and captured.  My friend has gone thru a great loss.....the love of her life went to be with the Lord and she needs this time and again.....I believe the Lord has carved this time out for her.

Here we go Lord on an adventure with You!   Blessings Karen (I hope to be blogging while I am away)

Bird Dwellings

I have a "thing" for houses always have had a thing for houses.....hence I'm a real estate agent.  However this thing ....goes on I like bird houses.  I love looking at all kinds of bird houses.  They are whimsical dwellings.  There is something cozy about a bird house.  Many are actually used.  On a serious note I am just at the beginning stages of my bird quest.  I find them wonderful to watch and comforting to hear their chirps.  It's one of those "simple" pleasures I mentioned in my previous blog.  So, I'll be posting bird houses now and again......some I've seen, some I've painted and some I've even hand-made and painted, oh yea like I said gotta thing for these "bird dwellings".    Until next time........Karen  (I painted this one)

Simple

It's the simple things in life that we must not forget.  Take in the quiet moments!  Breath them in.  Look at your family.....be grateful for what you have.  Know you are blessed.....be a blessing.  Share a kind word, help someone with their need, give out smiles.  Kindness, it's simple.

Oh Happy Day!

We are such proud parents, and have so much to be thankful for.  We are blessed.  Our youngest child graduated High School this time last year, and is attending College in CA, going after a ministerial degree and counseling degree, our youngest wants to work with troubled and homeless teens.  One day open a teen center!  Our son is a U.S. Marine and was married this time last year. Our son will be going to Afghanistan by carrier this September.  (We love our daughter in law)! and now our oldest graduated UMASS Boston yesterday, June 4th 2010 with a BS in Biology, and getting ready for the preparation to go to dental school.  Glory to God, so happy for our kids.
